New Patient
The Psychiatry Specialists of South Carolina team is dedicated to doing all that we can to ensure that your visits with our practice are comfortable and productive.
- New Patients: All new patients to our clinic will require an initial 60-minute evaluation. During the first consultation, your Psychiatrist will perform a comprehensive medical and psychiatric interview with the goal of arriving at an initial working diagnosis and treatment plan. Your physician will discuss available treatment options including possible medication and/or therapy recommendations
- Follow Up Visits: Depending on your treatment plan, follow up visits can include Psychotherapy and/or Medication Management. Your physician will create a customized treatment plan and detail the length/frequency of follow up visits
- Surgical Clearance: Psychological evaluations can typically take anywhere from 60-90 minutes in our office and will include the completion of several healthcare assessments. At the conclusion of your visit, our psychiatrists will review their findings with you and answer any additional questions you may have. Your referring surgeon will receive a copy of your psychological evaluation within 5 business days

Psychiatry Specialists of South Carolina is an outpatient center that does not follow after hours “call” – any messages left on our voicemail during the evenings or weekend will be returned the next business day.
